Just wear sweats and a t shirt, you won't look stupid AT ALL. The stupid people will be the ones in leather jackets and skinny jeans haha. Dress comfy!

Sweatpants, leggings, anything comfy. Remember that airports and flights might have their AC blasting so you want to wear something you won't freeze in.

I always notice that the Europeans dress so wonderfully while travelling so I always put more effort into my travel clothing when I travel in Europe. I still do these things around the US, but I don't care as much since it doesn't seem to be as important in America as it is in Europe...
Tops: I usually bring a nicer top I can change into or put on top of a cozy tee or tank a few minutes before landing. Since planes are normally cold, you'll probably bring a sweater or jacket anyways, so might as well make it cute and a part of your outfit!
Good for travelling and not wrinkling: Jersey knit dresses! Solids, prints, different lengths (maxi, midi, mini)... a jersey knit is so comfy and won't wrinkle like any woven fabric will.
Pants: you're probably going to want a legging. If you go with a legging, perhaps go for a jegging or leather legging so they don't look frumpy. If you go with an actual cotton or spandex legging, wear a nice tunic as a top and accessorize a bit.
Jersey knit peg leg pants with a nice print are GREAT! You could even wear just solid ones and they'll still look nice and polished, they won't get wrinkled during the flight, and they are more comfortable than any legging, sweat pant, or pajama pant I have ever worn... this is a great idea for comfort and a chic look in an instant.
Shoes: ballet flats! Easy to slip on and off and they're comfortable. They look much better than sneakers or flip flops (which also just scream "tourist").
Easiest way to look good while travelling: Wear basics and stash some cute accessories in your purse or carry on. At the end of your flight, you can start adding a belt, some jewelry, some sunglasses, and swap out your shoes for something a little cuter. This way you can pretty much wear anything (jeans and tshirt, leggings &a tunic, simple solid colored dress) and then make it look super chic and fashionable without going to too much trouble.
I usually just carry powder, lipstick/color, a toothbrush, deodorant, and sometimes mascara to flight to freshen up before landing
Have fun in Spain! Hope this helped =)

I don't know whether the weather is hot from where your leaving but if its not maybe shorts and tights, so before landing you could take off the tights :) and a loose top!
