What Lara said, anything but jeans. Nothing is worse than denim on denim! My friend wore her denim jacket with a bustier & high-low lace skirt this weekend and looked AMAZING. I'd stay away from too much floral unless you're going for the 90's look.

If it's not the same coloured denim, I don't see the problem. If your jacket is blue denim, pair it with maroon or black high waisted skinny jeans with a tight white or black tank/tee and a beanie (maroon if you're wearing black jeans and vice versa)
You could wear this with combat boots, creepers or white converse (:
