I've never heard of doing that, but I guess you would do that because bacteria can't live/die in the fridge?

The only makeup I've ever put in the fridge is lipstick. Especially in the summer to keep it from melting. I don't sit the tubes direct in there, I usually put them in a ziplock bag.

Freya, bacteria die when the condition is too dry or too hot.The fridge environment only make the bacteria inactive.

I heard that putting nail varnish in the fridge keeps it smooth so I tried it and it did not work:/

I guess it works because makeup expires and if youre not using it for a while, putting it in the fridge slows down the process so you don't just end up throwing you money away!

I put my NYX jumbo eye pencil in the fridge for like 15 minutes before I sharpen it, but I've never heard of keeping your stuff in there. Huh. Maybe I'll do that if I go on vacation haha.
