My hair is naturally curly but there's this one piece at the back that's just straight, dry, weak and feels dead. How can I try to fix this?

Get it cut at a salon, it can be cut out without it being noticeable

I died the underside of my hair purple but I had to bleach it first and they did it like 3 times cuz I have black hair... but anyways... it used to be really dry. use a hair mask specifically for rehydrating your hair.
