I used to get Coppola keratin treatments at the salon I worked at. There amazing but so expensive.
I have natural waves and loved how this repaired my hair and made it straight for 4 months with no iron or blowdry.
Anyone know or a great similar treatment?

Does keratin treatment has any bad side effects? Eg- split ends or dries out yr hair?

No it's putting protein in the hair vs stripping it like most treatments. My hair was in great condition! It's just 250 and hr treatment that takes about 4 hrs on me 😩

Oh wow thats expensive. Maybe you aud try cheaper salons? Or do they sell kit to do it at home? İ live in uk and they sell these kits at boots.co.uk have a look maybe they can ship to where you live.

Thanks ill check that out. It's super expensive. I have my license so even buying it at cost is 100.00 I just don't have the tools to do it.

Did it work well? Do you know what brand they used? I've seen a couple on there and. Tried kerasmooth but it didn't work :(

Actually I used keratase nutritive mask before. İ know it doesn't have anything to do with the treatment but this helped me have a amazing hair and it helped with nutrients and moisture. İ had very dry and damaged hair doing a 1 hour mask every time you wash your hair might probably give you same results too.

I did the Coppola keratine treatment & it leaves my hair lovely for the first few months but then it starts shedding & breaks easily. I work for boots in the US & we definitely don't sell any hair products here so if they could ship from the UK that would be nice but the shipping & handling would probably be expensive.

İ was actually looking into perming my hair at home. İ have seen a kit for keratin treatment on the same shelve.

Bella I recommend doing it at home if you're an experienced cosmetologist because I find that I save myself so much more money, it always comes out exactly how I want it & if anything goes wrong I can only blame myself.

I tried the bumble & bumble home version and it did not work! I'm just warning you against that one, I don't even have curly hair just a smidge of wave. The time I got it done in a salon was so worth it IMO. It lasted a long while with great results.

That's the one! Did you you follow up with another treatment? Or did you stop after your first? Do you have any suggestions for what's similar if I can't get the boots in the US?

Did you do the treatment yourself or go to a salon? I know the iron has a lot to do with it..

I did it 3 times & use organix sulfate free keratine free shampoo & conditioner & Carols daughter mask & split end mender because they're are also sulfate free.

I always do it myself. I apply it & let it sit for a while then blow dry it a little,& flat iron it twice.

What I think may be comparable to the boots is the organix 30 day keratine treatment which isn't as potent or concentrated but it does help with frizz

Which flat iron did you use? I could buy it for the 100.0 I was just scared of wasting the money without the right iron.I was always told that's what makes this treatment so effective. I have a ghd as the ladies in my salon had for everyday but they used a special one for this tx. I don't know of mine will be effective

Really it does not matter what flat iron you use so long as you use something that goes up to 450?. Mine is a plain old hot tools & it does the job just right.
