You can buy belly rings that are made for pregnancy. They are longer and flexible.

My gf left her in and she said bcuz the skin stretched it ended up half way up her belly (like no longer in her belly button) but she said it didnt hurt or anything and it went right back
but I'd get a pregnancy belly ring just to be safe
