I've noticed a bunch of articles stating that cow's milk causes acne.
Is this true? Any milk-drinkers on Beautylish, and did you guys have acne?
xx

I recently stopped drinking milk and have noticed my face is even clearer than normal. Most people are allergic to dairy and don't even realize it. To make a difference in acne you'd have to cut all dairy products out, minus eggs. But yes, a dairy allergy could very well be the cause of acne. It all depends on the person though. Gluten allergies are also a big cause of acne.

Researchers say milk was never even supposed to be for humans... But for the younglings... Think about it, it's like we are drinking someone else's breast milk... That's why I only drink rice milk. It tastes no different and it doesn't come from an animal...

Ash is completely right. We're the only species that drinks milk past infancy and the only species that drinks the breast milk from another species!

Once I cut out dairy my cheek acne went away but I still have jawline acne. It does help. Milk is evil.

I don't drink milk anymore and have little to no acne. I don't drink milk because like what ash says it's for young cows and stuff and it turns them from a baby cow into a very heavy cow.

You will only get acne from milk if you are lactose intolerant, like me. Some ways to drink milk and avoid acne is to choose milk that does not contain lactose.

It really just depends on the person, but if you don't see any correlation between drinking milk and breakouts you should be fine. personally it doesn't effect me but I've had friends who do get breakouts from dairy and therefore try to avoid it

Yes it does. Dairy contains lactic acid and hormonal lipids so it can contribute to your acne. Don't get me wrong a lot of people drink it and still have clear skin but going vegan is so much better. Drinking milk has too many ingredients from another living being that you are putting into your body. It is proven that by drinking milk, your bones release some of their calcium to balance out the levels. One can go their entire lifetime being vegan and be even healthier than someone that eats dairy and meat. Protein, calcium, and vitamins can be achieved with beans, spinach, and other vegetable alternatives.

Hmm. I'm going to try cutting down on dairy and see if it makes a difference. Although really the only thing I eat a good bit of that's dairy is cheese. I use milk in my coffee and on cereal when I have it, which is almost never, but otherwise I never touch it. I hate the taste and smell of it so I stay away from it anyway. The only time I've ever drank a glass of milk is if its chocolate lol.
