It is drying, it has a coating almost lfor show horses or something...it makes your hair appear shiny, but doesn't do anything for it. I discovered this in cosmetology school, and a lot of us tried it. The teacher found out and asked us to discontinue before we got damaged hair. He to safe that damage for testing hair color ;)
