Can you use peroxide to bleach hair??

So I herd hydrogen peroxide (the same kind for cuts and stuff) will bleach hair. Has anyone used it/have tips on how to use it??

If you just use peroxide it will definitely not get to the color that you desire. unless you want to go Orange.
