Hey ladies! This is the first time I've ever posted anything in here.
I have a horrible habit of biting my nails. They look awful! I've tried everything I can think of to stop... Fake nails and yucky tasting nail polishes and that never works. Any suggestions? That habit is getting way worse over the years. :(

Dip your nails in vinegar or peroxide.

My dad slapped me on my mouth when I was about 8 years old and that itself did the trick for me... never bit these bad boys ever since LMAOOOO.

Put gum in your mouth and carry a nail file with you all the time so you can file away any snags or hangnails :)

Have you tried rewarding yourself for going a day without doing it? That's what worked for me and I but my nails for YEARS! They say it only takes 21 days to break a habit! Also, if you do it as a nervous reaction, try finding something else to do with your hands, like a spinning ring.

I'd try the vinegar/peroxide thing but I bite them so far down they trend to bleed. :-(
I might the rewarding myself thing... Half the time though I don't even realize I'm biting.

This is kind of strange...but whenever you can...wear gloves or those tips you buy to put over acrylics when you tan.
Sounds like you have a small bit of anxiety and if you can deal with your anxiety your nail biting will stop. I had several bad habits...and other severe panic symptoms...I had to be medicated. Lol. Good luck!
