If you need to get rid on a pimple DO NOT pop it!! Use a warm wash cloth over it until the swelling goes down and you can wipe off the top. Other wise you'll get acne scars with are almost as bad as the pimples in the first place!

Yikes! I used to have that issue to. First of all you have to remember a popped pimple looks 10 times worse that a regular pimple. Second if its a stress pimple and you pop it, the infection will spread and one blemish becomes 5, uh oh that's not good. It's really hard to stop but you just have to control yourself. The best thing to do is to get rid of the acne. Make sure you wash your face in the morning with acne medicated face wash and at night with a gentle anti blemish exfoliant. Get a spot pimple medication to apply to your blemishes when you go to sleep. That way when all the pimples are gone you'll have nothing to pick at! :)

I have dermatillomania so I know what its like to want to pick at your own face/skin constantly. chewing gum helps like chewing it really obnoxiously and popping it. silly putty is really helpful cos you can like dig your nails into it and like pull little pieces off...kinda weird but it helps. bubble wrap helps sometimes. also those mint julep masks help. once they dry you can actually pick that off and your skin doesn't suffer. kind of do the crime without the time. and the mask is really good for your skin.
