Every time I put on false lashes the band sticks out and is really obvious...I use black eyeliner under and on top of the lashes but does anyone else have any tips on how to fix this?

You can paint the band on the lashes as well it helps a lot to hide it.

It makes it easier to apply falsies if you have less of them to work with. Try cutting the false lashes in half or into quarters so you have smaller parts to stick to your eyelid. I find this makes it MUCH less frustrating to get them on, and they also look slightly more natural.

Then afterwards you can apply the eyeliner and mascara to finish up the job!:)

The key to strip lashes is a good adhesive glue. Revlon makes really good glue! and add black liner where the strip meets your upper lash line.
