HELP! I need eyeshadow tips!

Ok so I usually wear neutral and gold colors for my eye shadow but I'm tired of it. I have light brown eyes and I don't wear purple eye shadow (my friend already wears purple and I like to be original lol) what should I do??!!

A brown eyed beauty can usually pull off a lot of colors. :) Maybe try a green smokey eye? I never see anyone rock it! :(
