I have struggled with acne for a very long time and over that time I have MANY scars on my face, mainly my chin area. I hate them, but makeup can only cover them, not get rid of them. Any help on lightening scars and help prevention of pimples? :) thanks! xo.

For at home remedies you can try applying lemon juice on the scars which will help them fade. Vitamin e oil can also help reduce scarring. However, if these are old scars then these natural remedies aren't very effective. I would highly recommend Mederma cream. You can never make them disappear, but you can fade them.

You can also make them fade quite a bit with a product I used called "bio oil" it's in orange and white packaging and you can get it at drugstores. (I got it from shoppers drug mart). You apply it twice a day and massage it in and it works great, patience is key for it though.

I recommend using Murad's Post Acne Lightening Gel. I have been on it for a few months now and have seen slow but for sure results:)...I can now see a difference a little goes a long way. It is pricey but I think it's worth it. I also have noticed a difference in using a gentle scrub every other day of the week to help alongside this gel.
