I think my skin type is oily but I have some dry patches. At the moment I'm using the benefit oxygen wow foundation in beige with the smashbox original primer underneath.
So basically, my foundation doesn't last all day, around 12ish I can see my foundation wearing off and my skin feels sticky and super oily.
any suggestions as to what foundation I should try out? Preferably non high end stuff like dior.

Revlon. Colorstay. Best drugstore foundation. Is medium to full coverage. And if you want an airbrush finish use your fingers to apply. Just make sure you wash your hands before applying the foundation. This foundation will stay on for the whole dAy long. Revlon colorstay 24 hours.

Covergirl 3-in-1 foundation. It dries to a powder finish so it doesn't feel like your wearing foundation, and it keeps you matte all day. I use an elf powder brush with it or my beauty blender.

I would for sure recommend make up forever'a foundation! I love it so much, covers up any redness and lasts all day! I suggest using a bronzer after though!

Once upon a time, I too would have said clinique.. however, I have been really into keeping my skin in good shape and I am 24 now so I wanted to start using age-defying products. I stumbled across the most amazing foundation/moisturizer I have ever used. It's the HourGlass Tinted Moisturizer. I use the color Ivory because I'm fair skinned but its awesome! Coverage is medium/full and although it does take a sec to dry, it has age-defying ingredients in it and is spf 15. Awesome product. 55.00 I think at sephora.

I couple it with my clinqiue matte powder and apply with a sponge since it is kinda sticky at first and then go over with a brush and highlight my cheeks, temples, etc.. a tiny amount goes A LONG way.
However, if youre not into moisturizer/foundation I would reccomend the Makeup Forever Mat Velvet foundation. Its my #2. :)

I recommend getting another primer also. I'm super oily skin and the Smashbox primers are all made with silicone so they just add to the greasy feeling.

I have very oily skin with dry patches as well. This is what I use:
Tarte amazonian clay its around $35 and it does miracles. just make sure you go to a store so you can try out the foundations and see what color fits you the best.
another foundation that works amazing is L'oreal True match foundation.

I use cover girl liquid and set it with a loose powder.
