Hey girls! I've been really wanting to get false eyelashes! Do you all have any recommendations for lash lash glue, technique etc? I want pretty natural lashes that are school appropriate! Thanks (:

Revlon had a great line of"natural" lashes that will suit your needs. Their glue comes with a little brush on applicator. Love the glue! stays on all day so you don't have to worry about losing a lash at school! ;)

I love Ardell lashes. There's lots to choose from, and I use the Duo clear lash glue. I apply with tweezers, and make sure you wait a little to let the glue get a little tacky before putting the lashes on, meaning put the glue on the lashes then wait a few mins. I use a wooden cuticle pusher stick thing to secure them on my lashes. Make sure you use a lash curler to kinda bond them together with your real lashes. I find also that false lashes are ADDICTING. Lol. Good luck. ;)

Duo glue is the best. As for putting them on I find working with my hands a lot easier than tweezers. Ensure the lashes fit your eyes (hold them up to your eye, if they are too long trim off the excess from the outer edge of the lash, a few hairs at a time). Apply the glue and wait 30 seconds for the glue to get tacky, then place them at the outer edge of the eye. Place the band as close as you can to your own eyelashes, and make sure the inner corner doesn't stick up. Look up Michaeljames on YouTube has an excellent tutorial titled "how to apply fake eyelashes". I usually only buy Macs eyelashes (number one is my favourite) but they are pricey. In Canada they are about 20 bucks a pair, however if you treat them right they will last a while. (I wear mine about 2-3 times a week, and they can last about a month before they get bedraggled). Don't sleep with them on, don't cry with them on, don't squash them, treat them gently.

Actually now that I'm thinking they might last longer than a month. Anyway, if you're looking for cheaper but good brands try buying in bulk. Sugarpill and Ardelle are quite good. I only stray from Mac if I'm looking for something way more dramatic. I'm actually wearing the number 1s in my profile picture. Good luck! And remember, practise makes perfect.

Best tip for falsies is don't be afraid to trim them or cut them in half!
