I have very oily, acne-prone skin.
Since I'm quite insecure about it, I prefer to cover it up the best I can.
Until I am healed of this acne, which may be awhile, what do you suggest I use to cover it up?
Foundation (powder, liquid), or concealer?
I started with concealer but it was so heavy it clogged my pores.
The derm. suggested water-based, and/or lightweight products.
Any suggestions? :)

Use a foundation to even out your skin tone, then a concealer to cover up your acne. I struggle with acne too! I use revlon colorstay foundation, and Mac studio finish concealer :)

Try Almay; it's great for sensitive, acne prone skin. Look for concealers that treat your acne while covering them. Apply some ice to any inflamed pimples to calm the redness, or start off with a green concealer before following up with your normal one.
Non-comodegenic foundations are important. Mineral makeup is great!
Try an oil absorbing powder, and always keep blotting sheets handy.
Check out NikkiPhillipi's video on YT titled 'No makeup, no confidence,' it was an eye opener for me!
Good luck :)
