my favorite bronzer to contour with is a dark pressed powder-not a bronzer, because it's not shimmery/sparkely and when you contour you don't want sparkles there, you can on your highlight but not there (at least I don't like it) I use a mac pressed powder, loreal true match powder or NYX stay matte not flat powder in a darker color.
I also love contouring with a dark and light foundation it's really easy and it looks the most natural if you do it right I'll post a picture below of where you should put the different colors for foundations :)
Some good matte bronzers are NYX matte bronzer& body bronzer, and lorac tantalizer is good too, and mac's bronzing powder.
Contouring products I love:
A good product for contouring and highlighting that I use DAILY is E.L.F's contour blush/bronzer kit it's an excact dupe of NARS Laguna and Orgasm, but for $3 it's a great value because the color pay off is really pigmented and it looks sparkly but it's really not on your skin.
Another one is the Sleek contour kit- Sleek cosmetics just started to be sold in the You.S and this is a GREAT product, a great price and is a great matte bronzer with a good highlighting powder, also it comes in other shades for your taste- here's the link for it: http://www.sleekmakeup.com/face/contouring/face-contour-kit
BH COSMETICS contour/blush palette- this is really handy it comes with so many colors to contour and highlight and blush and they're really pigmented, not to mention high quality, plus it's around $11 I think, here's the link for it: http://www.bhcosmetics.com/products/face/Contour-Blush-Palette/
A really good product for highlighting is MAC's mineralize skin finish pressed powder, it's shimmery and gorgeous, I also really love covergirls trublend powders (there's a shimmer pink blush one that is so amazing for highlighting, a sparkly bronzer that's really gorgeous for a victoria secret type sunkissed glow, and a matte bronzer which Is okay but these are kind of messy to use so I wouldn't choose a matte bronzer like this becuase I use it so often) but here's a link of what those look like: http://assets.kaboose.com/media/00/00/0b/5d/093e85c93b9b74bb827434e2d3de13647fede4a6/476x357/TruBlend-Loose-powders_476x357.jpg
Also Victoria Secret has a really good baked sparkly bronzer that I use all the time as a highlighter because of the spakles in it, here's what it looks like: https://s3.amazonaws.com/luuux-original-files/bookmarklet_uploaded/IMG_5909_800x600.jpg
Hope you find what you're looking for! :)

You can also use a liquid color a shade darker to contour which I personally think is best and you don't have to contour your whole face..you can do either or..if your looking for a sun kissed look you can use a shimmer high lighters,or liquid illuminates.to add color to your skin with a hint of glow use a bronzer, which by the way don't always have to use..their is a great amount of product Powder, liquid, cream it comes in all.
