I recommend getting a journal for just your blog and write down posts you want on it, your inspiration, diys, etc. then that can be what you use as your reference when you set up your blog, posts, etc. this is the method I use and it really has helped a lot just to have your thoughts written down. best of luck with your blog. if you need help with certain things don't hesitate to let me know.
