Hi all,
I am getting married in December and have decided to do my own makeup. I love experimenting with different colours and can do a basic smokey eye, however I want something that is going stay all day long, that's not too thick and that isn't too expensive! I have very fair skin with some red tones, blue eyes and brown hair so was thinking golden colours for my eyes and a light pink/nude lip. I want/need to buy everything new so need some recommendations on makeup products including the brushes I might need.
Any advice on products or looks would be amazing!
Thank you :)

Congrats! Practice is definitely the key here, there's plenty of tutorials online. The key to making your makeup last is primers. Too Faced is my fave shadow primer, NYX has a great face primer, and if you wear lipstick I'd go for a more expensive brand to make sure it lasts. I really like Physicians Formula translucent powder to touch up thru the day.

I did my own makeup on my wedding day too! I would suggest the Revlon Photoready foundation, it has nice coverage. Start off with a good primer. I like hourglass and Benefit Porefeasional. Whatever you decide on make sure you don't use too many new products on your face in case you break out, then you know which product doesn't agree with your skin. Also bring blotting papers with you to take the shine off without having to cake on more makeup.

I got married last month and did my own makeup. I started with benefits porefessional and splurged on Dior foundation (I wanted full, long lasting coverage that looked good in photos) and did false lashes with a heavy eyeliner and a more natural lip. It looked really nice. Just practice practice practice! Elf has really affordable brushes and makeup tools, I love them.
