It's got a mod look to it. The polka dots made me think 50's but it's the cut you're looking at not the print. In this case, the cut is "futuristic" and "mod" like, so stick with early 60's.

I thought the same thing about the length & things not being very 50s, but unless your doing a Broadway style dance, a longer, fuller skirt would be impractical. Still, I think it could go either way; it depends on which decade has thd better music for you.
