My favorite brand is without a doubt, Illamasqua. It's available at Sephora and online. They are a bit pricey at $14, but they have beautiful colors in a variety of finishes; creme, jellies, metallics, glitters. My longest lasting manicures have always been from Illamasqua polishes.

I like Essence.They have a good range and don't chip much. I have a lot of polish and these last as long as the expensive.

But I believe the most important is the top coat.use good top coat and remember to cap the edges to prevent chipping.
