As far as mascara goes- I love LOVE Diorshow by Dior. It's amazing! Some really good make up brands are Bobbi Brown, Dior, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Lorac. Hope that helps! :)

Drugstore options(:
Loreals Voluminous or Maybelines the Rocket.
I have these two in the waterproof formula...waterproof formulas hold better curls for me and don't flake(:
