So I have been keeping my hair natural for almost 9 months now, all of the relaxer has pretty much grown out. But it's been braided up under my weave and I haven't really had to deal with it except my edges. Well now my edges are going through too much stress and I need to just wear my hair out for a while. But I'm petrified. The only reason I let my hair go natural was because it was better for my hair under weave.
So can anyone help me with products to buy, remedies, styles, anything. I have very course, very thick hair. And the styles have to be somewhat professional.

I've been natural for 6 years and stopped straightening,my hair about 3 months ago. I wear my hair in two strand twist, twist outs and Bantu knots. You do need to keep your hair moisturized and like Janelle said your hair does need water. I wash my hair every week and Co wash every other week. I also use QP Elasta Olive Oil and Mango Butter Curl Pudding and the matching moisturizer in my hair and also use Coconut oil.

I've been natural for about 10yrs now and I have very curly hair but my texture and curl type is different in different parts of my head. the trick is getting to know your hair and being patient. find a great hairdresser who specializes in natural hair like yours. I love the Mizani Natural curls line. also don't apply too much direct heat...sit under the dryer vs blow drying and use as less flat/curling irons as possible. initially your hair will be weak so you can't put stress on it. also Biotin pills help a lot. and add more zinc into your diet.

I do two treatments a week where I put coconut oil and/or Hollywood super grow in my roots over night. I also use a non sulfate Shampoo and the Shea moisture leave in conditioner and deep conditioning mask. all of these products are completely natural.
