Tie and dye or blond highlights?

I have blond highlights in my brownish hair and I was thinking of going back to a plain brown color to do a light blond tie and due.. What do you think? Should I stay with highlights or not?

If you've had this color for a while now I'd change it, but but brown with light blonde tie dye would be really nice
