My hair used to grow really fast, but not so much in the last few months. I was wondering if straightening was the reason?

It won't stop growing? But by straitening It you are drying out the ends and they become brittle and could snap off... So it looks like hair doesn't grow. Make sure you use heat protecting spray and leave on conditioner! Also get trims often :)

No it will not stop growing fast because you are straightening it everyday. I have been straightening my hair everyday for a long time and it has not slowed down my hair growth at all.

Straightening damages your hair really bad with serum or not you should try to find natural ways to straighten it or straighten it evry other 3-4 months.

Hm, interesting. I think my ends are fine, it's just showing very little growth on my roots. It's weird because I've been eating more than burritos recently, so it's probably not a nutrition thing either.

Also, are there natural ways to straighten hair?

Try taking hair vitamins those work really really good hun... Do you deep conditioner once or twice a week? Its really important for your hair especially if your straightening it. It repairs the hair and protects it. If you look on youtube for heatless ways to straighten your hair you will find it :D.

You hair never stops growing but your hair gets weak from all the heat and breaks off making it appear like there's no growth happening. Don't straighten it everyday!

It won't stop growing but it really slows it down and makes your hair thinner and brittle. I stopped straightening mine about a year ago and it has improved and grown so much.

Your hair should not stop growing due to straightening it often - your ends will become damaged quicker, also it can be due to hormonal changes and getting older. Just maintain a healthy diet and lots of water!

Also use heat sprays before and Morracan oil after.

No I don't think so but it does damage it especially if your hair is no where near straight naturally and you don't use heat protectant religiously.

Straightening your hair damages the entire hair shaft and follicle. The shaft, from the pulling and dryness, the follicle from the heat. For hair to grow well these both need to be taken care of, even what you can't see of the hair. if the shaft is disrupted it is hard for the follicle to get nutrition. And on top of it not growing fast, every time you straighten, your breaking of the ends, whether you see it or not. The only solution is to stop. It doesn't matter how much protection you use, if you do it very often it is killing you hair. try to find ways you like your hair that don't include heat, even the blow dryer. In about 2 months you will see a considerable difference :)
