Would it look good if I did it with clip in extensions since I don't want to do it to my actually hair? And how would I match it since right now my hair is red and I plan on dying it medium brown.

Sure that would look great! But you may want to wait until you dye your hair medium brown before you try to purchase extensions to match.

Unless you do a ombre with red hair and soft golden maybe even s chestnut color that would be different depending on how red your hair is now
