Food Coloring For Temporary Hair Color??

So I've done it before.
Used food coloring to temporary dye my hair.
But this time I wanna do it on the bottom of my ombre hair.
It's blonde.
When I first did it my hair was dark brown.

How long will the color stay now for my hair being blonde? 
Help??

My sister had blonde hair and used food colouring, it didn't last ling at all, maybe 2 days and it stained everything! have you thought about using hair chalk?

I tried food coloring with mine and it ruined a lot of clothes :( Try kool aid! it works better!
