Hello all! So I need some opinions on the Skin 79 BB cream (pink). Is this product better than the American ones? Is it worth a try? Am I too dark to use it (since its only one shade)? Opinions!  Help!

I haven't tried the pink one but I have the gold VIP one and I love it!! I have oily skin and this feels a little thick but it glides across the skin like butter. I think it's better than the American brands because it gives better coverage and you look so smooth and poreless. I'm darker than you and it worked for me. I just set it with a powder foundation so it matched my skin better and didn't look ashy. It's definitely worth trying!

The american brands aren't really bb creams, the asian ones are the real ones because they're not tinted moisturizers like american ones, they have really good healthy ingredients in them for your skin. you can order samples of this bb cream online from amazon, I would really suggest you doing that to see if you like it or not! Also I've never used this one, but I do know that it is self adjusting to your skin tone, and will come out gray-ish pale but it will blend out to look very natural and flawless! I've also read a lot of reviews about the pink one being good for those with oily or combination skin, so if you have dry skin like me you might want to try out the testers first, here's a link to a 40 pack sample for $6.50- hope that helps xoxo.

Amanda, how do you request a sample on amazon? What's the different btwn pink & gold?

sorry I didn't include the link above like an idiiot! sooo sorry!

trish- you can't request one you have to purchase it- sorry :( and the difference between the pink and gold is the ingredients and color is a little different, as well as who it's designed for different skin tones and issues, etc. the pink one is more for oily/combination skin, and will help with the size of wrinkles, as well as brighten the skin tone. the gold one is for dryer skin to hydrate and energize skin as well as reduce the color of sun spots and again, help with the size of wrinkles. I'm looking into getting the orange one though, so I haven't used either of these. You can go online to the skin79 north america website and there's a lot of info on there :)

this website will give you a run down of popular bb creams and how to pick the right one for you...

And I'm sorry Maggie, I just don't agree- everything I've ever read on bb creams say that they are self adjusting to your skin tone. It's main thing that makes them so popular in the US now is that they're self adjusting to your complexion, and blend well- because these came from Korea originally, they only needed to be in one color, the lightest one. They were made into other colors and self adjusting to sell and market into the You.S. What makes them self adjusting is the oxidation process after applying it onto your skin, at least that is what they are supposed to do. But who knows, I could be wrong.

I got the orange tube, more for oilier skin types, and I loved it, but it was way to pale! I wish they had more shades :(! My fave American bb cream is Smashbox camara ready.
