Can anyone tell me what makeup brushes are essential and so on.. For example: eyebrow, blush, foundation brushes. What is the difference between them?

I would say for most looks you would want a foundation brush (you can get a flat brush or a synthetic kabuki), a blush brush, a large brush for bronzer, an angle brush, a blending brush and a shader brush (for your lid). A pencil brush is great too but not necessarily an essential for basic looks.

I think the Real Technique brushes are good quality plus you can't beat their price.. go to their website and it explains what each one is for.. also I would buy them from Ulta since they always have good sales :)

Watch jaclynhill1 on YouTube. She's a MAC makeup artist and she explains what are the best brushes out there. It's so informative.

If you get quality brushes and clean them properly, they will last you forever. I bought a set of Bobbi Brown brushes 10 freakin years ago...and I still use them everyday. Just go to a counter and have an associate help you. You might spend 100 bucks, but come on. 10 years. No joke. :-)
