What is microdermabrasion! I have acne and I've heard this before but never knew what it was.

From what I know, there's clinical versions and at home kits. It's tiny crystals that's exfoliate your skin and help slough off the dead, damaged skin so new skin can grow

Is it helpful?

Microdermabrasion can be a procedure that has to be done professionally, I wouldn't try anything at home! There is a line called Alumera, check it out! Also there are things like not being able to go in the sun for 24 hours, so spring isn't the best season to do it. I believe it's mostly older people getting it done, due to the fact that its almost like a face peel.. So they have new baby skin essentially. Hope it helps! :)

Microdermabrasion is usually for clearing out acne scars and making your skin texture even. I have had the treatment done but I agree with the others, it should only be done professionally. They use a skin polisher to even out the scarred skin and enhance dead skin renewal process, my dermat said its only done on skin that has little or no acne, I.e post prolonged acne treatment and on well hydrated skin.
