Can a Blonde Hair Man have a Black hair Mustache? (For Theatre production!!)

I just wanted some opinions from others! (: So I need to get a mustache for one of the characters and he has blonde here. Everyone is assuming that the mustache will be black but I'm not sure if it'll work since he had blonde hair. He's a cat-like person so he's essentially cunning and sly like a cat. (: I'm just wondering if that would look alright or if it would just be better to temporary dye his hair black (With a spray or something) Please and Thank you!
