I like MAC and Just brushes - I'd recommend large flat brush for your foundation - these brushes work fine and don't leave stripes of the product on your face. Great, if you get kabuki (MAC) or large duofiber (Just, Gosh) for fixing your makeup with powder and putting on some blush. Besides, both of them ok for face sculpting.
One more brush small enough, choose what you need - synthetic for any creamy and fluid textures (concealer, creamy eyeshadows) or natural (for traditional eyeshadows). Flat or round. Any brand or noname, cause its hard to spoil something with them.
And - all these recommendations are not for you if you have Beutyblender :)

Real Techniques beats anything I've tried. Which, granted, aren't many lol. But they are definitely a bang for your buck as far as I'm concerned. For a little under $20 I can get 4-5 high quality brushes that are very versatile. Definitely worth it in my opinion. I'm planning to buy more, both for my own personal use and a couple sets to use in my makeup kit. I can't imagine using anything else now.

I would get a brush set from sigma, they're great quality and will last for a long time, worth the price!
