Hair colour gone wrong!

Hi all, I'm after some advice regarding my hair.

I had it ombré'd a few months ago but grew bored of it. I asked my hairdresser to put a brown colour over it. It turned out almost black! I really don't like it. I want to strip my hair to its natural light brown colour.

Will using a generic colour stripping kit remove the black colour and the blonde underneath it from the ombré? Any other suggestions are welcome :)

I stripped my hair from a dark brown and it made my hair an orangish brown with bright orange highlights. so don't strip it. and its kills your hair. just wait and let your hair lighten.

Wash your hair with baking soda. it'll strip a bit of the color out.

Ugh I had a similar experience. I wouldnt try stripping my hair myself, I feel like it could go very wrong :-/
