I have long hair and would love to wear it down more often but no matter when I wash my hair, in about 12-16 hours my hair is already greasy and looks like I havent washed my hair in a week, help!! Oh and I don't use any products on my hair and I let it air dry, is this a problem?

These are common problem in oily hairs. Me too suffering from it. You can apply lemon juice over your scalp for 5 min before washing. It will reduce oil on your scalp a lil bit.

You can try using a ph balanced shampoo and try to only use conditioner on or near the ends of your hair and never on the scalp. Also dab some baby powder to lessen the oil

Or, before you go out put a little baby powder on a brush and brush it thru your hair. It helps a lot and keeps it more...I don't know dry? Looking lol it works though

I noticed that brushing your hair often or playing with it can add oils. Also, if you wash your hair everyday, you've pretty much trained it to get greasy by the end of the day. Same thing happens to me. Another tip- use voluminizing shampoo, not moisture or strengthening shampoos.

I was in a similar situation as you: my hair would get greasy by the end of the day and I didn't use any products or blow dry. Turns out it was because I washed it every day and my hair would accumulate oils at an excessive rate because they were stripped so often. I cut the amount of washings per week in half and it made a huge difference. It just takes a couple of weeks for the scalp to adjust.
