I always wash my hair but it just seems to be oily no matter what! Any tips?

Shampoo only the roots. then let what residue of shampoo is washing out clean the rest of your hair, then. when conditioning your hair only apply to the bottom half. never to the roots. and let sit for a couple min. then rinse. a lot of times the conditioner causes an oily scalp. hope this helps. :)

Brushing your hair spreads the oils so it takes longer for them to build up, brush your hair A LOT before going to bed and when you wake up.

When you wash your hair, don't scrub the roots too hard as this stimulates the sebaceous glands in your scalp that produce oil. also, I've heard that washing your hair in cold water makes it less oily cause the hot water and the steam in the shower stimulate the oil production as well. I know how you feel, it only takes a day or two for my hair to get oily and I feel like there's nothing I can do but wash it again. oh, and I've heard that dry shampoo works miracles too

Don't use a lot of conditioner in your roots!
