Stop buying drugstore shampoo. You need something sulfate and paraben free. All those shampoos and conditioners have harsh cleansing agents that strip your hair.

<<Stop buying drugstore shampoo. You need something sulfate and paraben free.>>
Quite a few drugstore shampoos are already paraben-free, and some drugstores sell sulfate-free as well. Also, not all salon-brand shampoos are sulfate- or paraben-free. Actually, there is NO DIFFERENCE between major drugstore and salon-brand shampoos.
That said? You can buy natural brands at... wait for it!... the drugstore (e.g., Giovanni, Avalon Organics).

There is a difference between drugstore and professional shampoos/conditioners. Mainly it is the "grade" in ingredients.
Also drugstore products tend to use fillers as "moisturizing" ingredients. These ingredients end up building up in your hair. If you dare taking the challenge, use scissors as though you're scraping the hair. If you are able to scrape anything, that's the buildup. I would avoid pantene and dove. Those are the worst.
