When contouring I make the fishy face and brush the product along the crease. I also bring it up to my temples and the very top of my forhead. Hope that helps any!:)

I was just thinking about this same question. Someone on here the other day said that Kim Kardashian uses NARS albatross as a highlighter. I would like some recommendations on bronzers. :-)

Highlighting & contouring is a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. What a lot of people don't understand is that Kim K. is not a good example to follow for learning how to do this. She has a daily makeup team that does her face@least 2hrs a day. Albatross is a great highlighter on every skin tone. A good bronzer is Too Faced Chocolate or Milk Chocolate Solei. They are matte & a great way too set off any blush. The trick to finding your contour line is place your brush behind your ear like a pencil. Bring the brush down until out forms a perfect angle from your ear across your cheek. Stripe your contour, blend upwards, apply blush, then highlight the tops of your cheek bone.

I use a bronzer or matte brown eyeshadow from the hairline, right along under the cheekbone. Like Monika T said, it helps to make a fish face. :) Blend it upward. Then I usually use a blush (usually a pale pink) and then a highlight the top part of the cheekbone. (I like to use MAC mineralize skinfinish in 'soft and gentle'). :)
