I need new hair!

OK, so I'm having a bit of a dilemma here because I love my current hair color but it is so difficult to maintain. Plus I sort of want to cut it to about shoulder length, but I do love long hair. Right now it's about three inches or so past my shoulders, but I definitely want to change it up a bit. What color should I dye it, and should I cut it or let it grow out?

I think you should let it grow out. I think black hair or a almost black red would look nice.
