They thin out your hair with a special tool scissor so its not going to be damaged the just cut everywhere little pieces, I don't know how to explain this simple in english but no.. your hair will be fine :)

In my opinion I wouldn't do that because my hair was so freaking thick I mean it still is but I regret getting it thined out because to thing it out in the salon they basically just give you layers and I have been trying to outgrow it for about 2 years it doesn't damage your hair it just makes it thinner and over time it will get thicker when you grow it out but it will take a while:/ and most defiantly do not do anything to your hair at home please, I find it never works out for my friends who do that!!

No it doesn't hurt your hair. I get it done all the time and my hair feels great! If you think your hair is dry ask your hairdresser about it and what products they recommend.
