First Time Coloring Hair!!

So I really want to color my hair. I'm 21 and this will be the first time I color it. Right now my hair is a redish brown. I want to color it like a more natural red or do some blonde highlights. My biggest concern though is my hair is not thin, thin but it's not thick either. What can I do to not mess up my hair. Or will coloring it make things worse??

Well if your hair has a red undertone, as you said, turning it blonde or getting highlights will almost certainly turn out orange or yellow. So If you would like to lighten your hair, I would go to the hairdresser.

if you make sure you take good care of your hair, there won't be much of a problem. It actually despends on your hair. I've bleached and dyes my hair so much and It's never really damaged my hair.

just go ask your hairdresser for some advice

Thank you :) yes I want a professional to do it I just don't want my hair to get thinner (if that happens)
