I dyed my hair black a few months ago & it won't fade. I've tried to bleach it & dye it. Nothing is working. Any advice on how to remove black hair dye from my hair?

Try using dishwashing liquid as shampoo it helps slowley lighten it but make sure you condition your hair well afterwards.

Black is the worst color to lighten. most of the time you need to just wait it out, and it will help to break up the color using a color stripper, and then you will need to bleach/color it again after. Also to avoid damage and to get eveness in the process use a neutral protien filler (you can get these at any beauty store, just spray into damp hair) 20 minutes before you apply the color stripper. (I use these before every color process- it helps give protien into your hair and when you're lightening or bleaching your hair this will help give the bleach something to take from your hair instead of your protien- if that makes sense, I don't know? I can bleach my hair using this without any damage) This will help to take out the color and melanin out of your hair, but esp with black it may take a few applications so you will have to just be patient. It's taken me almost a year to get my hair from dyed black to platinum blonde and a lot of ugly colors in between- but I went a few different places and had it highlighted a bunch and that helped but they will call it a "color correction" so you will pay 100$ an hour for it most likely and it's the same to do it at home- but you will need to pay a lot of attention to the condition of your hair and what color it is because you can overprocess it- which is highly unlikely for you because your hairs black.
