Wash it as infrequent as possible! As long as you can go without washing. And use deep conditioners. There are tons of diy deep conditioners on the internet. Try to find one that adds protein and moisture. Good luck!

I had that happen to me and unfortunately, if it is realllllly stringy and is like a spring when you brush it you might want to just have a professional cut it. That is what I had to do. Nothing I did made my hair better.

Sorry hun but you‘re going to have to chop it off. I went through a terrible dye process (bleached it twice, turned my hair orange red and yellow then had to dye it back to dark) and it doesn‘t matter how many masks you use or oils you rub in. It will smooth it temporarily but you run the risk of the hair breaking, splitting and going up the shaft and messing with the healthy bits. It took me a little over two years to grow everything back to the length I have but it was worth because my hair doesn‘t feel like straw anymore.

Well my Hair was a deep purple and it was growing out, and prom was a month away. So I thought, I‘m going to go white bleached blond with purple tips! Thank god I was smart enough to try it a month earlier, I cried all the way to shoppers drugmart with my mum and she bought the dark hair dye for me haha. It‘s all grown out now and back to blonde for me (seeing as I don‘t live at home and I don‘t know how to dye my own hair :P )
