To contour I use either concealer a few shades darker than my skin tone or I have all 3 of ELF's contour kits, NYC Sunny bronzer, Wet n Wild's Goddess or Princess bronzers. Or a matte brown eyeshadow. When I highlight I use concealer a few shades lighter than me & set it with my Ben Nye Banana Powder. For an added highlight I use ELF's Gotta Glow blush or the pink bronzer from Fergie's Line from Wet n Wild.

I typically use foundations for both contouring and highlighting on my clients with a matching powder to set. :) Sometimes also using colour correctors, but that is usually just for highlighting...

I love the NYX contour compact for travelling or on the go because its way less time intensive, but the NYX liquid contour and highlight are amazing, and I definitely recommend using them under foundation for a really smooth contour.
