I've had my clarisonic for about 2 months and I've noticed that it doesn't smell so pleasant. What is causing the smell and how do I get rid of it?

Do you clean your brush head often?

3 things, how often do you use your clarisonic? Where do you store it when it's not in use? And what are you using to clean it?

You shouldn't have to change the brush head that often, unless maybe of course the brush head you got was for whatever reason defective.

Maybe try cleaning it with baby shampoo instead of bar soap. It may be that the bar soap's formula is thicker and isn't washing out as well as a liquid soap would. It could possibly be soap scum that's built up and causing the odor. Or maybe try dipping it in some 90% isopropyl alcohol just to get any residue/buildup out and kill any bacteria that may be stuck. Make sure to rinse the alcohol out well before using it again. If that doesn't work I'd maybe just start over with a new brush and try using something else to clean it from the start and see if there's any difference.

You need to take a qtip to clean inside the clarisonic where the brush head goes. Bacteria can grow underneath the brush head.

Don't cover the brush if still wet either. The vapor/humidity of the closed brush will get locked in their causing it to smell and grow bacteria/mold.
