I had a Brazilian Blowout done today. I've had 3 in 2 years. The last 2 times I had it done the owner of the shop did my hair. This time I get a different stylist, as the owner is on vaca. The process usually goes like this...
1. wash hair
2. add brazilian blowout chemicals
3. blow dry hair
4. flat iron hair
5. rinse
6. condition
7. blow dry. ( no flat iron needed)

This time I got to #4 and she said she was done. I asked aren't you going to rinse and blow dry again? She said no need. Leave the product in a day or so (chemicals mind you...even though it smells good) run a flat iron over it again, rinse my hair in the shower UP TO 4 DAYS LATER...then condition. The next day I can shampoo and condition as normal from then on. Does that sound right? They always rinse me after flat ironing it into my hair. I know Keratin treatments you can't wash your hair for 3 days after, but I had never heard of that for a BB. Anyone had a BB? Have you had a similar experience? Wondering if I should flat iron and rinse it now?

Did they used Brazzilian Blowout brand? I'd they did they need to rinse. A lot of people confuse keratins and Brazzilian as companies name them different. Make sure you know the brand. I'm actually certified in a couple of brands. Let me know what brand they used.

HI Maria! Ya they used genuine Brazilian Bolowout out brand. I did a ton of reasearch before having it done the first time. This is my third time at this salon but got a digferent stylist. Here's a picture of the conditioner I purchased. Same product....

They should have rinsed it out. The company recommends rinsing and then putting their hair mask. Rinse and still as usual. I would call back and speak to a manager. Or call the company and let them know what happen.

Your right Jay she obliviously was trying to do the least amount possible. Thank you Maria once you mentioned rinsing and the hair mask I did some research online. She WAS supposed to rinse and then further seal it with the hair mask. Because she didn't when I finally rinsed it last night my hair is frizzy and looks horrible! I called her this morning...she is going to get me in as soon as she can to re-do it.

It does not have to be rinsed again right then but you are paying for the whole service. She was probably short on time so she just sent you on your way. I would go ahead and rinse tonight. So she didn't put the conditioning mask on? That helps the results when it's first done...not as necessary after although it helps to do it once a week or so.

Hi Tabitha, nope no conditioning mask! I was reading online the same thing...the mask helps further seal the product into your hair. Glad she's going to re-do the whole process. My hair looks dry and frizzy. I'll definitely know better next time! And I could see if the salon was packed and she had people waiting and trying to rush the process. I was the only one in the salon for 1 1/2hrs..lol
