You may have started with too high of a wedge. If you watch YT videos on how to walk in heels, lots of them will recommend starting with a kitten heel and working up to the taller ones. That may be what you need to do with your wedges too. Obviously you're not going to want to buy a million pairs of shoes to learn how to walk with the extra height, but maybe if you already own some lower wedges or heels you can wear those for a while until you get used to it.
