Hi, I'm into experimenting new ideas but sometimes well most times I just can't get it right from blending to smokey eyes. I have blue eyes with yellow in them but I've never found a colour or technique that is WOW for me. Please post your top tips to help me and other ladies be more confident with eye make up.

You have hooded eyes so the "typical" way to do a smokey eye won't work for eyes like ours. As far as blending goes, it depends on the brush you're using. Make sure you're using a blending brush and it's the correct size for your eye. As far as colors for your eyes, you can wear whatever color you want.

Here's a link of colors that would look nice on you

White pencil on waterline. I use it even if I have no other make up or mascara.

You're welcome Cheri! And Thank you!!

when I started out in makeup I had to learn a lot of stuff. I'm still learning. I thought I had just yellow undertones and I have both red and yellow. I also learned I have hooded and droopy eyes (the extra skin drooped over my outer corners) As far as brushes, I'm using coastal scent brushes right now (I tried ordering Crown brushes the other day but failed to get what I want) but a lot of people recommend Sigma, Real Techniques (affordable), Crown brushes, Sedona Lace and Mac Brushes (super expensive). Elf brushes are really good if you are just starting out. But once you get the hang of it, I would go with better brushes.
