Friends And Your Make Up...

So my friends often like to look through my make up and see what I have and what not which I don't Mind. sometimes they also like to use my eyeshadows and such which I don't mind either because I sanatize my collection when need be...but I absolutly hate when people disrespect my things, especially my make up. So à close friend of mine asked to use a eyeliner of mine which cost 20$ or so...I said fine because it needed to be sharpened soon anyways she uses it and puts the wrong cap on it squishing the eyeliner down and causing me to have to sharpen it 3 to fix it because it loosened the product I'm just like jesus you sure can help yourself to my expensive make up but you can't respect it or me?! But you love all my expensive products and expect me to let you use them all the time ughh its just redicilous anyone else have this problem with their friends?!

I think I'm going to start hiding all my expensive makeup when my friends come over they can use my drug store stuff lol. I buy my perfume from Ross éd hardy is like 18-25$ there and versace too which are my favs.

Yes! But my biggggest pet peeve is when they use my brushes for what I don't use them for. I use my mac stippling and buffing brushes for foundation and my sigma stippling for blush. I obviously wash them but it's like ARGHHH DON't PUT YOUR STUPIDLY DARK FOUNDATION ALL OVER MY BLUSH BRUSH. One of my friends snapped my new mac lipstick (plink if you were wondering) the day I bought it. Sure you can heat it and melt it, but she broke my lovley new lipstick! :( I'm going to start locking my train case

I understand! I live with my grandparents because I was going to school out here and on summer breaks I would go back to my dads house. And my sisters would come and visit my grandparents for a week. My youngest sister went through all my makeup and style some used all my eyeliner that I didn't have a chance to use! And over half my foundation! I was beyond mad when I found out and frankly I still am. Its so disrespectful and so untrustworthy. I shouldn't have to always hide my stuff when she comes over.

I don't let anyone other than my mom touch my makeup, it's too important to me and costs too much to let other ppl play with it. My advice is explain to your friends how you feel and if they don't start respecting you and your stuff I would stop being so generous with it.

Yes! its like that with my spray and my hair tools! I usually his only let my one or two very close friends use my expensive perfume and I do the hair...I do it better anyway heehee.

I know the feeling! When I lived at home, I kept all my makeup and hair products in the bathroom and I'd go in and find that my sister used my things and put them in the wrong places and I'd get so angry! I actually got to the point where I bought her her own makeup and hid my stash in my closet! Luckily I live with my fiancé now and he doesn't care for makeup, lol.

I have had the same problem, just not with near as expensive products. I got a new blush and was showing my other friend who's into makeup and understands it, and my other friends asked if they could touch it ( its a cream mousse blush) and jammed their finger into it. They also did this with a lip butter of mine. The one time I was really mad was when she was looking at my makeup and I look over and she was putting on my TooFaced lip gloss on, and I was like ahhhhh don't do that, cuz it's not like I can sanitize it now... Blah.

I never had that problem but I would go crazy if something like that happened. I work hard to get all my makeup so I don't let anyone touch it.

Luckily my friends all respect my things and on the rare occasion that they do use anything, they're very careful. It's more my family I have to watch out for. My husband somehow lost the cap to one of my favorite MAC lipsticks once! He was moving it and dropped it and it must have rolled far back under a dresser or something because we never found it and of course, it got all dried out. :( And my sister is pretty disrespectful of other peoples' things. She will get all bitchy if you even ask to borrow anything of her's, but she expects you to lend her anything you ask for or she just helps herself to it. She takes my brush cleaner and contaminates the bottle somehow, she takes nail polishes and lipsticks and never returns them, etc. It's the worst! She does it to my mom as well and when we ask for anything back, she gives the bitchiest attitude. It just sucks to spend so much money on something and have people disrespect it.
