Yes you can. just find the right shade of red that goes best with your skin tone.

Yes but get a lighter once since you have lighter skin, go for it!
Mac has a nice variety of reds for all skin tones!

Thanks so much for all the tips ladies. I'm really excited to try red lipstick, but I'm still a little scared. Its funny too because I'm fearless when it comes to trying new things. I hope I find a lipstick that looks good.
